The Outreach program is based on the award-winning, evidenced-based P.A.R.T.Y. Program (Preventing Alcohol & Risk-related Trauma in Youth) and is presented by an experienced trauma nurse from Royal Perth Hospital. The presentation is suitable for teens aged 14+ years who have not been affected by a recent or significant trauma.

Topics covered include -

  • statistics on youth hospital admissions, causes & injuries;
  • videos and photos to illustrate the causes & effects of injury ;
  • the ripple effect of trauma on those around the trauma patient;
  • brain and spinal injuries;
  • organ donation;
  • health apps; and
  • recovery position
