AC40 Simulator Registration

Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club is pleased to invite members to register to use the AC40 simulator at RPAYC!

To use the simulator, please follow the steps below: 

  1. Complete the Registration Form, and select a preferred day and time
  2. See an RPAYC Sailing Office Staff Member to receive a Simulator Induction (15 mins)
  3. Sign on using the QR code, located at the simulator.

Please note: RPAYC may not be able to guarantee that the simulator is available to use at requested times. 

The AC40 simulator may be available for up to 1 hour, based on demand. The simulator may be available at the following times:

  • Tuesday's: 0930 - 1800
  • Wednesday's: 0930 - 1800
  • Thursday's: 0930 - 1500

Other times may be available. Please email sailing@rpayc.com.au to enquire. When RPAYC is hosting events or at peak times, the simulator may be unavailable. Use of the simulator comes on a first-served basis. 

  


   

Terms of Use

The AC40 simulator is the property of McConaghy Yachts Australia and is a valuable asset, available for RPAYC member use. Members and guests are reminded to be as careful with the equipment as possible and follow the directions of use. 

Members and guests are liable for any damages to the equipment, which may be a significant cost.


 

As a registered user, I accept the following conditions:

  • It is mandatory to seek approval from RPAYC staff before using the simulator. First-time users must complete an induction with a staff member. 
  • Sign on before using the equipment. 
  • RPAYC staff will set up the simulator controls. 
  • Operators must be at least 16 years of age to use the simulator. For interested users under the age of 16, permission must be granted by an RPAYC staff member, and have parental supervision whilst using the simulator at all times. Use of equipment for users under age 16 will be at the discretion of RPAYC staff. 
  • There is a maximum of four (4) occupants in the simulator at any one time. 
  • Occupants are to remove shoes before getting into the simulator. 
  • Occupants must not stand on the carbon seats. Slide in gently. 
  • No food or drink is to be consumed or kept inside the perimeter of the simulator. 
  • The Red 'Emergency Stop' button is not to be pressed by occupants. 
  • Occupants are liable for any theft or damage to the simulator equipment, including:
    • Control switches, triggers and buttons
    • Carbon seats & steering wheels
    • Mobile tablets, PC controls or screen equipment
    • Simulator cockpit and surrounding equipment
