Welcome to the Trigg Island Silver Salties Launch Event! This event is part of Surf Life Saving Australia's Silver Salties initiative, supported by State Centres and funded by Sport Australia through the Move It - Better Ageing Grant program. Silver Salties is a physical activity and social connections initiative for older Australians, but all ages are welcome!

The program is all about enjoyment, fitness and social interaction with like-minded people in a safe and welcoming environment. Led by Program Leader and Trigg Island Community Engagement Officer Jessie Barker, all fitness levels and abilities are welcome and you're encouraged to stay for a cuppa in the clubhouse at the conclusion of the session.

The Trigg Island Silver Salties Launch Event will be held at the Trigg Island Surf Club Courtyard - we will then make our way down to the beach before returning to the courtyard for some morning tea and a quick informstion session on the program.

There is no fee to be involved, and participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle and be sun-safe. All COVID-19 precautions are also in place i.e. stay at home if unwell, social distancing, good hand hygiene, coughing/sneezing etiquette etc.
