In terms of the Transvaal Yacht Club Constitution, members are invited to submit nominations for election to the Executive Committee at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

This is an important opportunity to shape the future of the Club, and we encourage members to put forward candidates who are willing to contribute to the continued growth and success of TYC.

AGM Details:
Date: Sunday, 24 May 2026
Time: 10:00
Venue: TYC Lapa (to be confirmed)

Positions Open for Nomination:

• President
• Commodore
• Vice-Commodore
• Rear-Commodore
• Secretary
• Sailing Officer
• Public Relations Officer
• Youth Training Officer
• Up to two (2) additional Members of the Executive Committee

Nomination Process:

• Each nomination must be proposed and seconded by members in good standing
• The nominee must provide written acceptance of the nomination
• Completed nomination forms must be submitted to the Secretary or Commodore

Submission Deadline:
All nominations must be received by Sunday, 10 May 2026.

Nominations will be displayed on the Club Notice Board until the morning of the AGM, in line with the Constitution. Candidates may withdraw at any time prior to the AGM by providing written notice to the Secretary.

Please note:

• Members with outstanding accounts as at 19 May 2026 will not be eligible to vote
• Nominations will only be accepted from members in good standing
• Members are requested to ensure their contact details are up to date with the Club
