Time: 6:30 am start, please arrive 10 minutes prior to start time for the race brief

Distance: 4km short course and 8km long course

Long Course — 7.9 km
Start / Finish: Social Sciences Building, James Cook University

Start in front of the Social Sciences Building and follow the ring road to turn right after St Mark's College (St Mark's Service Road). Follow the road onto a dirt path. At the end of the dirt road turn right, cross the grass onto Monkhouse Road. Turn right through a gate and onto the road past John Flynn College, then right onto Buchan Road. Turn left onto the path past the Fitness Centre and then turn left onto Joseph Banks Avenue, then left onto the dirt road to the oval. At the oval turn right past the shelter shed and follow the dirt road to turn left into Parkinson Road. Turn left into Buchan Road then right into the road to the John Flynn Carpark. Cross through the carpark, cross the grass past the house and turn left onto Monkhouse Road, then right onto the dirt fire trail and follow the fire trail on to the road past Rotary International house. Turn right onto the ring road and continue down the ring road and ring road carpark to turn right to the back of the buildings. Turn left onto the dirt road behind the buildings then continue on a driveway. Turn right at the carpark then cross the grass to another carpark and then left across a footbridge. Turn right and then left onto the long footbridge. Go straight ahead onto a path to Solander Road. Turn right onto the Vet Hospital Road, go past Veterinary Hospital and Tech NQ and then turn left onto Discovery Drive, cross the ring road onto the grass between the buildings and the bottom of the ring road. Follow the path and cross Mount Stuart Street onto the paths through the centre of the university. Follow the internal paths and turn right onto a dirt road near the top of the ring road. Turn right onto the ring road and finish in front of the Social Sciences Building.
