TOOWOOMBA HOCKEY - SUMMER 6's

When & Where

Summer 6's will run for 8 weeks with games played on Wednesday and Friday nights at 5:30pm, 6:20pm and 7.10pm.

Wednesday 11th October - 29th November 2023
Friday 13th October - 1st December 2023

All games are played at the Toowoomba Hockey Centre, Clyde Park on Turf Fields 1 & 2. 

Fees & Registration

$55 - Summer 6's Registration

All players will require your REVSPORT username and password to register.

All new players need to register with Hockey Qld prior to registering for Summer 6's.  This will cover your new player insurance. Follow the link below to register with Hockey Qld:

Junior - (under 18 years) New Players add $36.50

Senior - (over 18 years) New Players add $53.50

** New player fees include Hockey Australia and Hockey Qld registration fees and insurance ** The above fees exclude transaction fees imposed by Revsport for online payments.

Registrations close at midday on Thursday 5th October 2023.

Format

Games will be played across half a field on Turf 1 and 2. 

20 minute halves with 5 minute halftime and 5 minutes between games to allow time for teams to exit the field and the next teams to warm-up.

6 players per team allowed on the field with up to 4 substitutes (total of 10 players). A minimum of 4 players is required to field a team. 

Teams can be mixed and there are no age restrictions - Anyone who wants to play, can play! 

Each team must have a Team Name, Team Colour and Team Coordinator

The Team Coordinator will be the point of contact for the team and will be responsible for notifying the Competiton Coordinator each week of the availability and numbers of their team.

A draw will be sent out to Team Coordinators via email on Friday 6^th October.

UMPIRES: Anyone wanting to umpire games please contact the Competition Coordinator prior to the 6^th October.

Rule Modifications:

• Feet, backstick, obstruction and hacking rules still apply
• The ball can’t be raised above knee height
• No hitting
• No Goalkeepers
• Shoot from within the ‘D’

Equipment Required

Protective equipment such as shinpads and mouthguards are not required but are highly recommended. It is up to the each individual to choose if you wish to purchase playing and protective equipment. 

THA have a limited supply of hockey sticks to lend to new players (sticks must be returned immediately after the game), but we strongly encourage new players to borrow equipment from friends or family.
