- Under 10 players who regularly play up in the Under 12 competition are welcome to register and participate in the academy.

2026 Technical Development Academy

The 2026 Technical Development Academy provides specialised coaching for boys and girls competing in Under 12 and Under 14–16 club and representative hockey.

Delivered over a 5-week training block during Term 3, the program offers consistent, high-quality coaching in a challenging and supportive environment. Sessions are designed to be engaging, high-intensity, and age-appropriate, helping players develop the technical and tactical skills required to progress their game.

Field Player Development

Participants will focus on:

• Ball positioning and control while dribbling and receiving

• Body positioning and 3D elimination skills

• Overheads, tomahawks, and PCA-specific movement patterns

• Defensive tackling techniques and pressure play

Goalkeeper Development

Goalkeepers will work on:

• Shot stopping and reaction saves

• Footwork and positioning

• Kicking and clearance techniques

• 1v1 saves and smothering skills

• Rebound control and recovery

Age Groups

• Under 12 Boys and Girls

• Under 14–16 Boys and Girls

• Under 14–16: Tuesdays, 6:30am – 7:30am
