Beginners Coach Development Workshop
Dates: Thursday 13th and 20th November 2025
Time: 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Where: Field 1 - Clyde Park
This FREE workshop is targeted at any Coaches who work with beginner players. Whether it’s Minkey-Mods, new juniors or A3/A4, the two sessions will cover what players need to learn in their first year of hockey:
Session 1: TECHNICAL SKILLS (Thurs 13/11) - how to teach basics of pushing, trapping, slapping, ball carrying, hitting, and tackling to new players.
Session 2: TRAINING SESSIONS (Thurs 20/11) – how to organise a training; including teaching technical skills in drills, designing your own fun games, making exercises competitive, and changing it up when it’s not working.
