DUPR Alert re dubious "partnership" announcements

Published Fri 19 Sep 2025

An alert from DUPR

We want to alert you to an issue that has been flagged across our partner network.

Some newer pickleball organizations are falsely claiming partnerships such as multi-club deals, national network affiliations, coaching endorsements, paddle brand deals, or software integrations to appear more credible.

These announcements are not accurate and are designed to mislead coaches, clubs, and governing bodies.

How to Protect Yourself

👉 Always verify new “partnership” announcements directly with the organization being named. If you don’t see a joint press release or official confirmation from both parties, that is a red flag.

👉 Be cautious if someone pushes for a call while showcasing a list of supposed partnerships. We have already seen groups display logos without consent, and when we checked directly, those partners denied any agreement.

👉 If you see anything suspicious involving DUPR or DUPR Coach, please report it to us so we can investigate quickly.

Safeguarding Trust and Transparency

When groups exaggerate or fabricate partnerships, it damages trust across the sport. DUPR will always build with honesty, transparency, and sustainability, and we will continue working to protect coaches, clubs, and players from misinformation.

DUPR is trusted by millions of players worldwide, officially connected to over 9,000 clubs and 250 API platforms. We partner with more than 250 companies across the industry and welcome collaboration with all organizations. We are always open to new players and groups coming into the space, but our responsibility is to protect the community from misinformation and misleading claims.
