• Entry to the annual FYC Beach Party including BBQ food, games, treasure hunt, egg toss, ice cream eating competition all included, sure to lots of fun for all.  Siblings and friends of Participants welcome! – entry $10 each.

Having enjoyed your introduction to racing it is now time to improve your performance and compete at a higher level. A greater understanding of tactics, wind patterns and boat tuning techniques will all help you get there. An introduction to Team Sailing included!

Course Overview
Having enjoyed your introduction to racing, it is now time to improve your performance and compete at a higher level. This course will provide you with a greater understanding of tactics, wind patterns and boat tuning techniques.

Course Prerequisites

Water confident, and you should have the skills, knowledge and experience gained from the Start Racing (Dinghy) course.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to continue developing their racing skills in dinghies and want to learn more about tuning their boat and racing strategy and tactics. 

Course Outcome

You will gain your Better Racing (Dinghy) completion certificate. 

 

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
