This class is for children who wish to give fencing a go and learn the basic skillset. It is for primary and intermediate school age children with a minimum age of 7 years old. All protective clothing and fencing equipment is provided. Children will only need sports shoes, trousers, a light long-sleeved top and a named water bottle.
Classes start on Thursday, 1 May 2025 and run through to Thursday 26 June 2025. A total of 9 weeks. The fee is $157.50 which includes Starter Membership to The Fencing Institute.
There will be a competition held amongst the classes on Saturday 21 June, to put the term's learning in to practise. Parents/Caregivers are encouraged to stay throughout the event to support the fencers. There will be a fee of $5 to attend this competition which will be collected on the day.
