This class is for children who wish to fence beyond a beginner level. All protective clothing and fencing equipment is provided. Children will only need sports shoes, trousers, a light long-sleeved top and a named water bottle. They are expected to have their own gear after they have been fencing a year.
Classes start on Thursday 13 February 2025 and run through to Thursday 10 April 2025. A total of 9 weeks, due to Waitangi Day on Thursday 6 Feb. The fee is $157.5 which includes Starter Membership to the Fencing Institute.
There will be a competition held amongst the classes on Monday 31 March at 5:30pm, to put the term's learning in to practise. Parents/Caregivers are encouraged to stay throughout the event to support the fencers. There will be no additional fee to attend the competition, as it takes place during a regular class time.
