- SkateStars Skaters can stay for the Saturday Morning session for free

SkateStars Program Participants' Registration:

Free    - Registration fee, only available to participants who complete the Skate Australia Recreational Program/Event Waiver form, to skate in Recreational Programs (maximum of 3 sessions per annum) run by Member Clubs with Accredited Coaches

Alternatively you may pay:

$37.00    - SkateStars / SkateFit Recreational Membership fee (CAT 4), only available to participants who complete the Online Registration Form and Payment, to skate in Recreational Programs/Events (includes Sports Injury Insurance for participants in Sanctions Programs/Events run by Member Clubs with Accredited Coaches)

Note: Only Members are covered by the Skate Australia Insurance Program, Non-Members participate at their own risk.

 

Required Equipment (please bring your own)

  • Hand Sanitiser*
  • Suitable clothing for Skating exercise
  • Sweat towel (optional)
  • Skates (if you have your own)

* the Rink has Hand Sanitiser, but please bring your own if possible

 

Requirements to attend

Please ensure that you adhere to the follow requirements and protocols:

  • AIS Framework principle of “Get in, train, get out”
    • Please arrive dressed in suitable clothing for Skating exercise (with Shoes on) no more than 5mins prior to the start time.
    • Please wait outside in the front car park (maintaining 1.5m social distancing) until called in to the Rink by Skatel Staff/Coaches.
    • If it is wet, then you will be invited to wait inside the foyer (maintaining 1.5m social distancing).
    • 1 Parent/Carer may chaperone each skater (if necessary) including entering the Rink
      • Please 'Check in' using the Service NSW App's 'COVID Safe Check-in' by scanning the Penrith Skatel QR Code on entry and then show this to the counter staff.
    • All attendees* must vacate the premise (Rink and Car park) as quickly as possible after the lesson has concluded.
    • * Note Skater's wishing to stay for the Saturday Morning Session must:
      • Stay on the rink with the Coaches whilst Staff perform COVID safety cleaning
      • Leave their bags under the bench seating by the barrier
      • Any Parent/Carer not partificpating in the lesson must vacate the building during the COVID safety cleaning (10:45am - 11:00am) and may be required to pay the entry to re-enter the Rink for the Saturday Morning Session.
  • The training session will adopt the SkateNSW Return to Sport Policy, particularly the General, Indoors, and Artistic Skating guidelines, including:
    • No contact training (including high fives/hand shaking and no team skating)
    • No contact coaching
    • No sharing of personal equipment (drink bottles/towels/hand held devices)
    • No use of shared equipment
  • All attendees to observe restrictions to access (see Rink Plan for red NO GO zones).
  • Please adopt good personal hygiene at all times:
    • Use amenities at home, including shower at home before training and after training
    • Maintain hand hygiene - Before, during and after participation
    • Practice respiratory hygiene - If you do cough or sneeze, do so into a tissue then dispose of, or if not available the inside of your elbow.
  • Adopt safe travel arrangements (e.g. physical distancing on public transport, limit car pool/taxi/Uber use) – As recommended by Sport Australia.
  • Maintain 1.5m physical distancing at all times.
  • No food to be consumed on site.
  • All attendees (including Parent/Carer) must register prior to the training session commencing.
  • Consider Download, Installation and use of COVIDSafe app.
  • Adopt the reporting and recommended health procedure advise as outlined in the SkateNSW Return to Sport Policy, including but not limited to Protect vulnerable people
    • Asthma suffers should use a “spacer mask” when using their inhaler.
    • Get flu (Influenza) vaccination and get tested for COVID-19.
  • All attendees must stay home if sick, even minor headache, sniffle, cough, sore throat, fever, shortness of breath, temperature or cold like symptoms.
  • The following people will be excluded from attending, anyone who has:
    • COVID-19 or has been in direct contact with a known case of COVID-19 in the previous 14 days.
    • Flu-like symptoms
    • Travelled internationally, to Victoria, or to any known COVID-19 Hot Spot in the previous 14 days.
