Tasmanian Sabot Association

The Tasmanian sabot fleet is a very family friendly group that enjoys getting together in various locations around the state for training and regattas (and off water fun), as well as supporting regular club sailing, along with supporting regular participation in national events.

Sabots are sailed at a number of clubs around the state and in many cases, it would be possible to arrange a boat to hire or borrow on a ‘try out’ basis at one of our events.

Fleet and rig options make the class enjoyable and competitive for double or single handed sailors ranging from as young as 6 or 7 years old, through to 16 year olds. Sometimes two-up crews will comprise sailors from different clubs.
