AGM/Tournament.

No better way to get more club engagement than putting a sneaky AGM in the middle of a tournament. Lollies included. Another cracking Sunday was had at Gunyama as our President Beck gave us an update on the year that was and the year that will be.

Stingers Exec are glad to see the mix that turned out to our tournament, including our newbies, proving that these days give us all an opportunity to meet Stingers we don’t normally meet, play who we don’t normally play and spread that Stingin’ success to the whole swarm. A round of applause goes to India and Issac for reffing the whole day!

The club wants to send a thank you to the outgoing Vice President Dylan Vitucci who scored for Stingers in and out of the pool during his 6 years with exec. His work, planning and action have allowed the Stingers to spread into events outside our usual scope and helped us jump over just a few hurdles.

Also finishing up his term on exec was Secretary Tom Cooney. Tom’s dedication to the job, to Stingers and moving the club forward have been astronomical. He’s handled what seems like an insurmountable amount of tasks with ease, to keep us on track to be the best club and community we can be.

To start off the congratulations our Treasurer, and the best back-handed shot in the club, Josh Sprake has been re-elected. We are welcoming the incoming Vice President Alex Blagus. Blagus you’ll know is the one who is always happy to help, with a temperament and smile to envy. Lastly we have incoming Secretary Ben Williamson, who has been a dedicated and reliable volunteer for the club since he joined.

Ordinary Exec Nominations

Nominations are now open for Ordinary Executive Members, due 20 November. These are 1 year terms that are for members who want to help the club swimming smoothly. If you got the skills we'd love to hear from you, however you can contribute.

To nominate please email secretary@sydneystingers.org.au with a short note about how you can contribute and any gaps you can fill in our club.

Intra Season 11.

The games have begun! We’ve kicked off our next season of Intra. A massive thank you given to Jarrod, Fletch, Aldo, Tiz, Phoebe, Kiah and Adam. Getting the season scheduled, teams captain’d, and letting every stinger know what's what is a tough job, and we are grateful we’ve got a wonderful pool of people to keep intra running.

Sundays at Gunyama are all club run and need a lot of stellar volunteers to make it work. Next time you can, please come a few minutes early, or stay a few minutes after your game to help set up or pack up our equipment. Lending your tenticles with equipment really does help keep the club swimming smoothly.
