Beach 4s
The sun, shade and smiles were all out at Manly for our Beach 4s tournament this month. With sand scraping inside our cozzies and some strategic sunblock (don’t tell Kayla) Stingers hosted 16 teams and nearly 150 participants from 10 different clubs for a day enjoyed by the harbour’s side. This event is quickly becoming a highlight in Sydney's social waterpolo calendar, bringing in players from a wide range of clubs to enjoy a spin on the game we all share.
Taking out the competitive division was The Up Dogs from Drummoyne and Watson’s Bay.
Winners of the recreation division was none other than Stingers own Sharknados.

At Stingers we love a Beach 4s tournament, we love the sun, the twist on tactics and some extra grip on sandy balls. The day would be made possible without the stellar efforts from Kayla and Ben T, who worked, worried and chased away cyclones to host us and our neighbour clubs. Stingers would also like to give a special shout to the volunteers on the day Jono, Tom, Fabs, Kingsford, Sprake and Josh O (Mac Uni) who gave up their time so we could all enjoy a great day.
Fair Day & Parade
Mardi Gras season is doneski for another year, and we want to send a Huge, Enormous, Giant THANKYOU to Fletch, Kingsford, Will, Nick, Kezia and Ben W for hauling the club through Fair Day and the parade!

To say it was a glittery blast would be an understatement, these events take work to put together but flow on to have a significant benefit for all those that take part. Thanks again!

Table Duties
Doing table duties is just part of being in the team. Whether tabling for someone else's game or your own, it’s a job that we all need to contribute to and be confident with to do our part in making the club run. If you want to revise the tasks of the table you can complete a simple online training module provided by Water Polo Australia, take a look at the Member Zone “Water Polo Rules and Table Official Training” section on how to log in and enrol yourself. You can also come along to Sunday intra competition and ask to be partnered up with an experienced member to show you the ropes.
