Xmas break

That's a wrap from us this year! Here's to beach days, sleep in and catchups. Early 2026 will be busy, we have a rough plan of:
- Weekend of 17/18 Jan - Winter awards and internal comp. Lets welcome each other back and see who’s kept up their laps during the break.
- 20/21 Jan - Metro round 10. Yes its early, yes you need to keep up the swimming over the holidays. #MakeKaylaProud.
- Aus Day long weekend - no training.
- 31 Jan - Back to normal training
- 1st Feb - first Intra Game (and pub. Always pub.)
- 15th Feb - Fair Day
- 22 Feb - Intra Finals
- 28th Feb - Mardi Gras Parade - Tickets on sale soon
- 10/11 March - Last round of Metro Summer Season.

Valencia 2026 EOI
We are building some plans for the Gay Games in Spain in June next year. For complete information about the event and to let us know if you're interested, please see and complete the Expression of Interest. Also show your interest in this FB event (team chat link in event) for comms.
Stingers Key Dates.
Keep an eye out for your teammates as Stingers set out for world domination! We'll be battling it out in the pool and attending these events:
- Fair Day - 15th Feb
- Mardi Gras Parade - 28th Feb
- Boot Camp - TBD March/April 2026
- Beach 4s - 15th March 2026 (tentative, yet to be confirmed)
- Valencia Gay Games 2026 - 27th June - 5th July 2026

December Swim Set:
Total Time: 45min
Total Distance: 1.8 km
Warm Up:
100 Free, 100 IM, 100 Free
Main Set:
16 x 50s - free - 15sec rest between.
5 x 100m - Free - 30 sec rest between
Cool down: 200m
Notes:
- Adjust the times to suit you, but still aim to push yourself. Suggestions:
- A bit easier: add 5 to 10s on the suggested times per 50m.
- A bit harder: minus 5 to 10s on the suggested times per 50m or add 2 more distance intervals (e.g where it says 6x100m do 8 of them.)
- 50m Pool: add 5sec per 50m
- Send your team a selfie with you at the pool after your set! Be the fitspo to my DMs :)
- Splashproof and reuse the set - write it up with crayon (or pencil) on waxy baking paper, pat dry and keep in your bag for next time.
