All participants must be a full member of the Suzuki 4wd club vic, You are welcome to join up as a full member up until closure of registration, no need to attend in person meetings. Fill out the registration and I'll contact you about switching over to a full member ($110 per year)

This Trip is suitable for stock 3 and 5 Door Jimnys, on stock tires as you will be able to earn the capabilities of the car, modified cars and experienced driver also welcome.

 

"On the bus/Off the bus" -Everyone starts the trip at the same time and place, and ends the trip at the same time, only early discharge is if your car is on a tow truck and you're in an Ambulance helicopter. - This is to prevent people getting lost or stuck on their own... again.

 

Event Description

 

A 3 night camping trip. 5 up to 30 vehicle convoy & off road adventure on well made dirt roads, and light to medium technical 4x4 driving. Conducted during daylight hours through Alpine forests and High Plains, rocked-terrain scenery, Creeks and water falls, overnight stay at established camp areas with drop toilet facilities. This is intended to be an activity for drivers and Jimnys/Suzukis of all ages and abilities to participate in. Intentions are to grow participants' skills in off road driving, assessing obstacles and how to camp safely in a group, create new friendships and as well as have a great time.

 

A Snorkel is advantageous if fitted due to 3 small creek crossings, But not essential.

 

Activities include:

-Howitt region Hut tour (Craig’s Hut, Bindaree Falls, Bindaree Hut, Lovick’s Hut, Howitt Hut)

-Dimmock’s Lookout

-Horseyard flat

-Possible Moonlight Cinima screening - Tentative 

-Day walk to First falls Water Fall/Swimming/Sausage Sizzle

-Optional self guided drive up to “The Pinacles” in a small groups

 

Activity length: 0900 h Saturday 31st October 2026 - NLT 1600h Tuesday 3rd October 2026 (Please aim to arrive 15-20 mins before 0930 to allow time for you to go to the toilet and get signed in)

 

Trip Distance: 450 km, Mix On/Off road, Dirt roads/tracks, Skill builder 4x4 obstacles that you can be coached through across the 4 days, There is an opportunity to refuel at the 220 km mark, although please bring a 5-10L container of Emergency/range extension fuel.

 

Event Begins: 9:00 am SHARP!, Saturday 31st October 2026

Meeting point: Mirabah Park, Bottom of Mt Buller, right next to the toll booth. (Best place to fuel up is either BP Mansfield or The Mirabah Store prior to meeting us at the start location)
