1. Registration and Acceptance

By registering for, purchasing a ticket to, or attending a Super Sikhs event, the participant and, where applicable, their parent or legal guardian agrees to these terms and any event-specific conditions.

Registrations are subject to availability and are not confirmed until the required registration information and payment have been received.

Super Sikhs may refuse or cancel a registration where:

• incorrect or misleading information has been provided;
• the participant does not meet the event’s eligibility requirements;
• required payment has not been received;
• attendance may create a safety, behavioural or operational risk; or
• the event has reached capacity.

2. Participant and Guest Information

The person completing the registration must ensure that all information supplied is accurate and current.

Where a registration is made for another person, the person completing the registration confirms that they are authorised to provide that person’s information and accept these terms on their behalf.

Participants must advise Super Sikhs of any relevant medical condition, allergy, injury, disability, accessibility requirement or other information reasonably required for safe participation.

3. Children and Young People

A participant under 18 years of age must be registered by, or with the consent of, their parent or legal guardian.

Unless an event is expressly described as a supervised drop-off program, parents and guardians remain responsible for the supervision, behaviour, transport and collection of children in their care.

Parents and guardians must remain contactable during events involving children and must arrange collection promptly at the advertised finishing time.

Super Sikhs is committed to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for children and young people. All participants, parents, spectators, coaches, officials and volunteers must follow the Club’s child-safeguarding requirements and directions. Australian sporting organisations are expected to maintain clear child-safety rules, reporting processes and appropriate supervision practices.

4. Fees and Payment

All fees must be paid by the stated due date.

Any transaction, platform or processing fees will be displayed during registration where applicable.

The person registering is responsible for reviewing the event details, participant information, dates, venue, eligibility requirements and fees before completing payment.

5. Participant Cancellations and Refunds

A participant is not automatically entitled to a refund because of a change of mind, scheduling conflict, illness, travel difficulty, non-attendance or failure to meet an event requirement.

Requests for refunds, credits or registration transfers must be submitted in writing to supersikhs1@gmail.com and will be considered having regard to:

• the timing and reason for the request;
• costs already committed by Super Sikhs;
• whether a replacement participant can be accepted;
• the relevant event-specific terms; and
• the participant’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Approved refunds may be reduced by reasonable, disclosed and unrecoverable costs where permitted by law.

6. Event Cancellation, Postponement or Changes

Super Sikhs may alter an event’s schedule, venue, format, program, competition structure, presenter, coach or other operational arrangements where reasonably necessary.

Where an event is postponed, registrations may be transferred to the rescheduled date. Super Sikhs will provide information about any available refund or credit options.

Where Super Sikhs cancels an event or makes a significant change, participants will receive the remedy required under the Australian Consumer Law. These terms do not exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded. The ACCC advises that consumers may be entitled to a refund where an organiser cancels or significantly changes an event.

Super Sikhs is not responsible for external expenses such as travel, accommodation, equipment or other costs unless required by law.

7. Conduct and Behaviour

Everyone attending a Super Sikhs event must:

• behave respectfully towards participants, families, volunteers, coaches, officials, performers, venue staff and members of the public;
• follow the Super Sikhs Code of Behaviour and reasonable instructions from event officials;
• refrain from bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, violence, abusive language and unsafe conduct;
• respect cultural, religious and personal differences;
• comply with venue rules and applicable laws; and
• avoid damaging the venue, equipment or another person’s property.

Super Sikhs may warn, remove or refuse entry to any person whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, unlawful or inconsistent with Club values. A person removed for misconduct will not ordinarily receive a refund.

8. Alcohol, Smoking and Prohibited Items

Unless an individual event expressly states otherwise, Super Sikhs events are alcohol-free and smoke-free.

Alcohol, illegal drugs, vaping, smoking, weapons, dangerous items and any substance or item prohibited by the venue or law must not be brought into or used at an event.

A person who appears intoxicated or affected by drugs may be refused entry or removed.

9. Health, Safety and Participation Risk

Participants must take reasonable care of their own health and safety and the safety of others.

Participants must:

• follow safety instructions;
• use appropriate clothing, footwear and protective equipment;
• participate within their abilities;
• immediately report injuries, hazards or unsafe behaviour; and
• stop participating when directed by a coach, official, volunteer, venue representative or health professional.

Sporting and physical activities may involve risks including falls, collisions, overexertion and injury. Super Sikhs will take reasonable steps to provide a safe environment but cannot eliminate every inherent risk.

Where reasonably necessary, Super Sikhs may arrange first aid or emergency assistance. Any additional medical or ambulance expenses remain the participant’s responsibility, subject to applicable law.

10. Photography, Video and Media

Photography or video recording may occur at Super Sikhs events for Club communication, reporting, promotion, historical records and social-media content.

Where consent has been provided during registration, Super Sikhs may use images or recordings of the participant in Club publications and digital channels.

Anyone who does not wish to be photographed or recorded should notify Super Sikhs before the event and advise the event coordinator on arrival. Super Sikhs will take reasonable steps to respect the request but cannot guarantee that a person will not appear incidentally in photographs or recordings taken in public or group settings.

Attendees must not take or publish inappropriate, intrusive or unauthorised images of children or other participants.

11. Privacy

Personal information collected during registration may be used to:

• administer the event;
• process payments;
• communicate important event information;
• manage safety, medical and emergency requirements;
• maintain participation and attendance records; and
• meet legal, insurance and governance obligations.

Information may be shared with authorised Super Sikhs representatives, RevolutioniseSPORT, payment processors, venues, sporting bodies, emergency services and service providers where reasonably necessary.

Super Sikhs will manage personal information in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and its privacy practices. Privacy guidance requires organisations covered by the Australian Privacy Principles to be transparent about why information is collected, how it is used and the types of organisations to which it may be disclosed.

12. Personal Property

Participants are responsible for their own clothing, equipment, valuables and personal property.

Super Sikhs is not responsible for loss, theft or damage unless caused by a failure to exercise reasonable care or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Any damage deliberately or negligently caused to a venue, equipment or another person’s property may be charged to the responsible person or, for a minor, their parent or guardian.

13. Tickets and Entry

Tickets and registrations must not be resold for commercial gain or transferred without approval where the event requires named attendees.

Super Sikhs may request proof of registration, identification or age before permitting entry.

Entry remains subject to venue capacity, safety requirements, event-specific rules and compliance with these terms.

14. Communications

Important notices may be sent using the email address or mobile number supplied during registration.

Participants are responsible for checking their messages and notifying Super Sikhs when their contact details change.

15. Liability and Consumer Rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee, warranty or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, Super Sikhs is not responsible for loss arising from:

• a participant’s failure to follow instructions;
• inaccurate or incomplete information supplied during registration;
• unauthorised or unsafe conduct;
• circumstances outside Super Sikhs’ reasonable control; or
• risks ordinarily associated with voluntary sporting or recreational participation.

17. Acceptance

By completing an event registration or ticket purchase, the registrant confirms that they have read and accepted these Global Event Terms and any additional terms displayed for the individual event.

EVENT WAIVER, CODE OF BEHAVIOUR AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

By purchasing a ticket, registering another attendee or attending the Super Sikhs Dinner & Dance Night, you acknowledge and agree to the following conditions.

1. Super Sikhs Code of Behaviour

All attendees must behave consistently with the values and behavioural expectations of Super Sikhs Sports & Cultural.

Attendees must:

• Treat all people with dignity, courtesy and respect.
• Support a safe, inclusive and family-friendly environment.
• Follow reasonable directions from event organisers, volunteers, venue staff, security personnel and emergency services.
• Avoid behaviour that could intimidate, embarrass, threaten, harm or offend another person.
• Respect cultural, religious, gender, age and individual differences.
• Respect the venue, event equipment and the personal property of others.
• Take responsibility for their own conduct and the conduct of any children or guests included in their booking.

The following conduct will not be accepted:

• Verbal abuse, swearing directed at another person or offensive language.
• Bullying, harassment, discrimination or intimidation.
• Threatening, aggressive or violent behaviour.
• Unwanted physical contact.
• Deliberate disruption of the event.
• Damage to the venue or another person’s property.
• Refusal to follow reasonable safety or event-management directions.

Super Sikhs reserves the right to refuse entry or direct a person to leave where their conduct is inconsistent with these expectations.

2. Alcohol-free, smoking-free and drug-free event

The Super Sikhs Dinner & Dance Night is strictly alcohol-free, smoking-free, vaping-free and drug-free.

Attendees must not:

• Bring alcohol into the venue or event area.
• Consume alcohol during the event.
• Smoke or vape inside the venue or surrounding event areas.
• Bring, possess or use illegal drugs or prohibited substances.
• Attend the event while significantly affected by alcohol or drugs.

A person suspected of possessing or consuming alcohol, illegal drugs or prohibited substances may be refused entry or directed to leave.

No refund will be provided where a person is removed or refused entry for breaching these conditions, subject to applicable law.

3. Respect and protection of volunteers

Super Sikhs volunteers are generously contributing their time to support the community and deliver the event.

All attendees must treat volunteers respectfully and cooperate with reasonable instructions relating to:

• Ticket checking and entry.
• Seating arrangements.
• Food service.
• Crowd management.
• Children’s safety.
• Venue requirements.
• Photography preferences.
• Emergency procedures.
• Event closing and venue departure.

Abuse, intimidation, harassment, threats or aggressive behaviour toward a volunteer will not be tolerated.

Attendees must not personally confront, blame or target an individual volunteer regarding an event decision. Any complaint or concern must be calmly directed to the Event Lead, Secretary or authorised Super Sikhs Executive representative.

Reasonable instructions provided by an authorised volunteer are considered directions of the event organiser.

Super Sikhs may refuse entry or remove any person who abuses, threatens, intimidates or refuses to cooperate with a volunteer.

To the extent permitted by law, individual volunteers acting reasonably, in good faith and within the scope of their assigned duties will not be personally responsible for decisions made on behalf of the event organiser.

4. Participation and personal responsibility

Attendance and participation in the event are voluntary.

Attendees are responsible for considering their own health, mobility and personal circumstances before participating in event activities, including dancing.

Attendees must act responsibly, remain aware of their surroundings and avoid behaviour that could create an unreasonable risk to themselves or others.

5. Children and supervision

Children and young people under 18 years of age must remain under the supervision and responsibility of their parent, guardian or responsible accompanying adult throughout the event.

Parents and guardians are responsible for:

• Knowing the location of children in their care.
• Ensuring children behave safely and respectfully.
• Preventing children from entering restricted areas.
• Ensuring children do not damage venue or event property.
• Collecting children promptly at the conclusion of the event.

Super Sikhs volunteers and event staff are not responsible for providing individual childcare or ongoing supervision.

A child must not be left at the event without an appropriate supervising adult.

6. Entry, tickets and attendance

Every attendee, including children, must be included in a valid booking unless otherwise advised by Super Sikhs.

Attendees may be required to:

• Present their ticket or QR code.
• Provide the name used in the booking.
• Confirm the number of people included in their booking.
• Cooperate with digital or manual attendance check-in.

The person completing the booking is responsible for ensuring that every person included in the booking is aware of these conditions.

Tickets must not be resold for commercial gain. Ticket transfers or attendee-name changes must be approved or processed through the event organiser where required.

7. Food allergies and dietary requirements

Attendees are responsible for providing accurate information about dietary requirements and food allergies during registration.

While reasonable efforts may be made to communicate dietary requirements to the caterer, Super Sikhs cannot guarantee that food will be completely free from allergens or cross-contamination.

Guests with serious allergies should make appropriate personal arrangements and speak with the event or catering team before consuming food.

Children should be supervised when selecting and consuming food.

8. Photography and video

Photography and video recording may take place during the event.

Images and recordings may be used by Super Sikhs Sports & Cultural for:

• Event reporting.
• Club promotion.
• Social media.
• Websites and newsletters.
• Funding or sponsorship reporting.
• Future community communications.

Attendees who do not wish to be photographed or recorded should advise the event team at entry.

Parents and guardians should notify the event team if they do not consent to identifiable images of a child in their care being published.

Where reasonably possible, Super Sikhs will respect these requests. Attendees must also respect any direction not to photograph another guest or child.

9. Personal property

Attendees remain responsible for their personal belongings.

To the extent permitted by law, Super Sikhs, its committee members and volunteers are not responsible for personal property that is lost, stolen, misplaced or damaged during the event.

Any lost property handed to the event team will be held temporarily following the event.

10. Risk, injury and emergencies

Attendees acknowledge that events involving crowds, food service, music and dancing may involve ordinary risks, including slips, trips, falls, physical contact and unforeseen incidents.

To the extent permitted by law, attendees accept responsibility for injury or loss resulting from:

• Their own actions.
• The actions of a child or guest under their supervision.
• Failure to follow reasonable instructions.
• Conduct outside the reasonable control of Super Sikhs.

In an emergency, attendees authorise event organisers and volunteers to contact emergency services and provide reasonable assistance.

Any costs associated with ambulance transport, medical treatment or other personal services remain the responsibility of the attendee.

Event volunteers are not expected to provide medical treatment beyond their level of training or capability.

11. Refusal of entry and removal

Super Sikhs may refuse entry or direct a person to leave where the person:

• Breaches these conditions.
• Behaves aggressively, abusively or disrespectfully.
• Threatens the safety or wellbeing of another person.
• Abuses or intimidates a volunteer.
• Brings or consumes alcohol.
• Smokes or vapes in a prohibited area.
• Possesses or uses an illegal substance.
• Refuses to follow reasonable directions.
• Damages event or venue property.
• Creates an unsafe or significantly disruptive environment.

Where appropriate, venue security, NSW Police or emergency services may be contacted.

A person removed for breaching the conditions of entry may not be entitled to a refund, subject to applicable law.

12. Event changes and cancellation

Super Sikhs may make reasonable changes to the event program, entertainment, seating arrangements, catering, timing or other details where circumstances require.

If the event is postponed, relocated or cancelled, registered attendees will be contacted using the details provided during registration.

Any refund, transfer or credit arrangements will be managed in accordance with the published event policy and applicable Australian Consumer Law.
