SCWP Teams Shine at WPQ State Titles 2024

The recent Water Polo Queensland State Titles saw the SCWP teams showcase their talent and determination on the grand stage. Amidst intense competition and challenging matchups, the 16&U maroon boys and 16&U white boys displayed exemplary sportsmanship and skill, leaving a mark of excellence throughout the tournament. 

 

The 16&U maroon team embarked on an inspiring journey, securing victory in four consecutive matches with each win fueling their passion for the sport. Despite facing tough opponents like UQ Barras and the Polo Bears, the team's unwavering teamwork and resilience led them to seize the bronze medal, a testament to their dedication and perseverance.

Meanwhile, the 16&U white team delivered a stellar performance, captivating spectators with heart-stopping intensity and consistent action on the field. Led by coach Aaden Stack, the team showcased remarkable camaraderie and determination, narrowly missing out on the gold but securing a well-deserved silver medal in a gripping Grand Final showdown against Rockhampton.

Not to be outdone, the 18&U boys clinched the bronze medal, further solidifying SCWP's presence as a force to be reckoned with in junior water polo. As Leo G bid farewell to his junior water polo career, his contributions were acknowledged and appreciated by the team.
