The Board are calling for player nominations to represent SCHA at the 2026 U16 Boys State Championships in Townsville.

As reccommended by HQ, players born in 2010, 2011 (& SCHA extention to 2012) are encouraged to nominate.

Trials:
Sunday 19 July 7:30-8:30am 
Sunday 26 July 8:30-9:30am

Pre-Championship Tournament:
Sunday 2nd Aug 2026 - Toowoomba

State Championship:
20 - 23 September 2026 - Hockey Queensland State Championships (Townsville)

Self Organised Accomodation
Additional rooms have been included on the SCHA Officials booking, should players and their parents require accomodation. This is a first in basis.

Flights
Flights have been booked for all players under SCHA group booking:
Brisbane to Townsville - Sat Sep 19th @ 11:40 (VA0391)
Townsville to Brisbane - Wed Sep 23rd @ 17:20 (VA0394)
Additional flights have been included on the SCHA Group booking, should parents wish to take. This is a first in basis

Travel:
Travel to and from Brisbane airport, is to be self organised or within the team.

To prioritise player safety, especially in relation to underage members, athletes are required to self-organise their accommodation to help ensure they are in a safe environment and allow for adequate supervision. This will allows families to find suitable accomodation for their budget and/or allow athletes to stay with family, which will in turn cut down on cost associated with representative tournaments.

$1150-$1200 (Please note: This cost includes a partial fee for covering the cost of your Officials)

Your nomination fee will be applied to the players invoice, if selected to represent SCHA. In the event of non-selection, this fee is refundable inline with our rep policy. SCHA Representative/Selection policy is available to view here or via our website.
