The Board are calling for Umpire and Tech nominations to represent SCHA at the 2026 U14 Girls State Championships in Hervey Bay.

Technical Officials and Umpires must be a non-playing official who holds no other role at the tournament. 
If you are over 18 years, you must hold a valid Blue Card.

Tournament Dates

Southern Cross
Sun 10 May - Warwick (Umpire Only)

State Championships
28th June to 1st July - Hervey Bay

Umpire Guidelines

Minimum Accreditation:
Foundation Support Umpire
*If no current accreditation, they must be witnessed by a local HQ assessor as someone who has potential to umpire and develop their umpiring skillset at U14 State Level of competition for progression.

Minimum Age
14 years of age
*a younger age umpire may be considered if an approved Umpire Mentor is able to witness and approve them attending prior to the Championship.

The umpire cannot be nominated for any other team official role (i.e. coach, manager or player) and must be available for the
entire duration of the tournament. The umpire can assist with technical duties. 

Umpires are required to have a plain fluro yellow shirt or a Grays HQ Umpire Shirt. No club or team branding permitted.

Technical Guidelines

Minimum Accreditation:
Foundation Support Judge

Minimum Age
15 years of age

The tech official cannot be nominated for any other team official role (i.e. coach, manager or player) and must be available for the
entire duration of the tournament. 

Tech Officials are required to wear plain navy or black long pants and polo, or the official Hockey Qld Tech Official Plo is owned. Enclosed dark footwear must be worn.

Accomodation & Travel

Accomodation - Riviera Resort

An allowance for the cost of travel to, during and from the championships will be covered.
