Everything You Need to Know About the 2026/27 Suncoast Hinterland Softball Season
The countdown is on! We can't wait to welcome players, families, volunteers and supporters back for another exciting season of softball at Suncoast Hinterland Softball Association.
Whether you're returning for another season or joining us for the very first time, here's everything you need to know about our upcoming competition.
🥎 Season Commences
Our 2026/27 Summer Season officially begins on Saturday, 10 October 2026.
From the very first pitch, you'll enjoy a fun, family-friendly atmosphere where players of all ages and abilities can learn, compete, make friends and create lasting memories.

Thinking about giving softball a go before committing to the season? We'd love to meet you!
Join us at one of our FREE Come & Try Days, where you can learn the basics, meet our clubs, have some fun and see what softball is all about.

🕘 Time: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
No experience is needed, and all equipment is provided. Simply wear comfortable clothes, enclosed shoes and bring a water bottle.
📅 Weekly Training
Training is held every Tuesday throughout the season at the Suncoast Softball Grounds.
Junior Training
🕓 4:00 pm
Senior Training
🕕 6:00 pm
Training sessions focus on developing skills, building confidence, improving fitness and, most importantly, having fun. New players are always welcome, regardless of experience.
🎄 Christmas Break
After a fantastic start to the season, we'll take a well-earned break over Christmas and New Year.
Last games before Christmas:

This gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy the festive season with family and friends before returning refreshed for the second half of the competition.
🌟 Season Resumes
Competition resumes on:
Saturday, 9 January 2027
From here, the race to the finals begins as teams battle it out for a place in the championship games.
🌧️ Wet Weather & Make-Up Games
Queensland weather doesn't always cooperate, but we'll do our best to keep the season on track.
If a round is washed out due to wet weather, make-up games will generally be played two weeks after the original scheduled game date, where possible.
Should Grand Final Day be affected by wet weather, the Grand Finals will be postponed and played on either:
- Saturday, 20 March 2027, or
- Saturday, 27 March 2027
Any changes to fixtures will be communicated through our website and social media channels.
