Welcome to the 2025/2026 Summer Athletics Season!
Over the 2025/2026 summer season, there are plenty of ways to get involved from AVSL, Vic Milers Club, Parkrun and more! See below for details:
AVSL & Championship Events:
Athletics Victoria is back with another summer track and field season, jam packed with AVSL and Championship events. The AVSL Season kicks off with Round 1 on Saturday October 11 and spans all the way until the end of February, comprising of 10 rounds in total.
Please see the provisional season calendar here, which also includes dates for Championship events such as 5,000m champs and Zatopek:10.
The Victorian Track & Field Relay Championships are scheduled for Friday 12 December - Sunday 14 December, which are always a highlight of the season. Be sure to mark the dates in your calendar, and get down to compete and cheer on your fellow athletes!
Victorian Milers Club (VMC):
The Vic Milers Club is a running club focused on middle-distance running, including events such as the 800m, 1500m and mile. VMC offer track meets roughly once a month over the summer season, which offers a highly competitive atmosphere for athletes to improve on their personal bests.
The first meet of the season is scheduled for Thursday November 13. Please see the provisional VMC calendar here.
Parkrun Series:
If you're after a more casual weekend run, SKAAC has you covered. SKAAC is running a monthly Parkrun series this summer as a way to stay connected and keep the legs moving for those not competing in the formal competitions. If you're interested, aim to arrive by 7:45am for an 8:00am start, followed by a coffee after the run!
