World Masters Hockey (WMH) offers a World Cup (WC) for nationally selected teams and an International Masters Cup (IMC) for affiliated members e.g. Australian Spirits Hockey (ASH), Southern Cross, Alliance, LX England.  ASH teams may compete in a stand alone IMC competition or at the discretion of WMH may participate in a combined competition consisting of nationally selected teams and IMC teams.  Where more than one IMC team competes, teams will play for a medal.

Australian Spirits Hockey (ASH) is calling for women's masters player nominations for International Masters Cup teams to compete at the Masters World Cup 2026.  

55+ to 70+ Women's IMC teams, competition dates 7 - 16 August 2026 in Brasschaat, Belgium

Player eligibility 55+ (born 1967-1971),  60+ (1962-1966), 65+ (born 1957-1961), 70+ (born 1956 or earlier)

A non-refundable fee of $22 is payable upon nomination.  However, should ASH be unable to form a team in your eligible age group, a refund will be made.

Nominations will close on Monday 15 September 2025 and selections will be made in accordance with the Spirits Selection Policy on our Policies & Procedures webpage.   A Selection Policy Infographic has been created to explain the process simply. This can be found on our Documents page.

A $100 Acceptance fee will be due and payable from all selected players via revsport by Monday 3 November 2025.

Australian Spirits Tour Levy is expected to be $1,000 ($100 acceptance fees is deducted from this balance) and includes: ASH admin fee, travel admin fee, contribution to WMH team entry fee, honorariums (Coach/Manager/Medical & Contingent Leader, if separately appointed), sundry expenditure - training, Manager kitty, etc.  For more details, including Australian Spirits expectations and costs, please refer to our Touring Guide – link below.

Selected Australian players - Release
Players who are selected in Australian teams for 2026 World Cup and choose to withdraw from Australian Spirits will receive a full refund of any Tour Levy paid.  Players selected as Australian Shadows are encouraged to remain in ASH teams until called into an Australian team.  All requests for Tour Levy refunds must be made via info@australianspiritshockey.org.au within 10 days of the Australian teams announcement.  The $22 ASH nomination fee remains non refundable.
