Juniors

Twisters, Thunder and Lightning are our U8 Tee-ball teams are for boys and girls aged 4 to 8 years.

Our U8 Tee-ball teams participate in the turbo 6’s competition on Saturday mornings at Hawker International Softball Complex and is a modified version of tee-ball that introduces the kids to the skills of softball in in a non-competitive, safe, inclusive and fun environment.

Our coaches focus on fun and teaching the kids skills each week they can then put straight into practice as training for these teams takes place 30 mins before they play each Saturday morning.

Blizzard is our U10 tee-ball team and caters for boys and girls 10 years and younger.

Our U10 Tee-ball team participates in the U10 Tee-ball competition played on Saturday mornings at Hawker International Softball Complex. The U10’s is competitive tee-ball and caters for players of all levels, delivering a fun and exciting introduction to softball.

Our coaches focus on building a fun, safe and inclusive environment where the kids learn new skills, make new friends and compete against other teams to build teamwork and a better understanding of the game. U10 tee-ball train 30 mins prior to their games on Saturday mornings and hold a couple of training sessions throughout the season on a Friday afternoon at Calwell Playing Fields 4:00-4:45pm.

Surge is our U12 Softball team and caters for boys and girls aged 10 – 12 years.

Our U12 Softball team participates in the U12’s competition played on Saturday mornings at Hawker International Softball Complex. The U12’s is competitive softball and caters for players of all levels, being a great level to start the next step of softball, where a pitched ball is introduced.

Our coaches focus on building a fun, safe and inclusive environment working on game play, every position and compete against other teams to build teamwork and a better understanding of the game. U12’s train on a Friday afternoon at Calwell Playing Fields 4:00-5:15pm.

Voltage is our U14-U17 Div 2 Softball team and caters for boys and girls aged 11 – 14 years.

Our U14 Softball team plays in the U14’s competition played on Saturday mornings at Hawker International Softball Complex. The U14’s is competitive softball and caters for players of all levels and provides a great steeping stone in representative teams such as Canberra Pride and ACT U14 Regional Teams.

Our coaches focus on building a fun, safe and inclusive environment working on positional play, hitting, specialist positions such as pitching and catching, game knowledge and the importance of team work. U14’s train on a Friday afternoon at Calwell Playing Fields 4:00-5:15pm.

Tornadoes is our U14 - U17 Div 1 Softball team and caters for boys and girls aged 13 – 17 years and our new team for the upcoming season.

Our U17 Softball team plays in the U17’s competition played on Saturday mornings at Hawker International Softball Complex. The U17’s is competitive softball and caters for players of all levels and provides a great steeping stone in representative teams such as: Canberra Pride, ACT U16 and U18 State teams as well as into our senior grades of both Women’s and Men’s.

Our coaches focus on building a fun, safe and inclusive environment working on positional play, hitting, specialist positions such as pitching and catching, game knowledge, strategy and the importance of team work. U17’s train on a Friday afternoon at Calwell Playing Fields 5:00 – 6:15pm.
