By applying for affiliation with Skate Australia Direct the Club/Organisation agrees to the following terms and conditions:
1. Fees
The Organisation agrees to pay all affiliation by the required due dates.
2. Integrity, Safety and Member Protection
The Organisation agrees to comply with the National Integrity Framework, including but not limited to the Member Protection, Child Safeguarding, Improper Use of Drugs and Medicine, Competition Manipulation and Sports Gambling and Complaints, Disputes and Discipline policies.
The Organisation will actively promote a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for all participants.
3. Policies, Rules and Regulations
The Organisation agrees to read, understand and comply with all Skate Australia policies, rules, regulations and constitutions, as amended from time to time.
4. Governance and Administration
The Organisation is responsible for its own governance and administration and agrees to work towards best-practice governance standards consistent with Australian Sports Commission principles. The Organisation will maintain:
A constitution consistent with its legal structure,
A functioning management committee,
Accurate and up-to-date contact and governance information.
5. Membership and Registration
The Organisation agrees to ensure all skaters, coaches, officials and volunteers are properly registered, with accurate and current information, through Skate Australia’s approved registration platform.
6. Coaching, Officiating and Child Safety
The Organisation agrees to:
Work towards ensuring coaches hold a current recognised coaching accreditation/s,
Ensure all coaches, officials and volunteers working with children hold a valid Working with Children Check.
7. Events and Competitions
The Organisation agrees to comply with all license terms, policies and requirements for Skate Australia sanctioned/endorsed events and competitions conducted by the Organisation.
8. Cooperation and Conduct
The Organisation agrees to act in good faith, support Skate Australia and conduct its activities in a manner that does not bring the sport or Skate Australia into disrepute.
9. Acceptance
Affiliation is conditional upon ongoing compliance with this Agreement. Skate Australia may suspend or terminate affiliation in accordance with its policies if these terms are breached.
