VENUE LOCATION

We thank the City of Moreton Bay for supporting the event being held at Morayfield Skatepark, 10 Station Road, Morayfield, Queensland 4506 Australia.

AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

This event will double as the Australian National Championships for Scootering (Park & Street). All athletes of Australian citizenship participating in the Oceania Championships will be eligible for the Australian National Championships.

AGE LIMITS – OCEANIA CHAMPIONSHIPS

As per the 2025 World Skate Competition Rules for Scootering:

Men’s Park/Street: no age limit

Women’s Park/Street: no age limit

Juniors’ (mixed gender): up to and including 17 years old

Junior athletes must be a maximum of 17 years old on the final day of competition. If an athlete is 17 years old or younger, and therefore still eligible to compete in either Men’s/Women’s or Junior categories, they can choose to compete in either category. However, if a rider has registered for, and completed a single run in, a Men’s/Women’s competition at a World Skate ranking event, they will no longer be eligible to compete in Junior for any future World Skate ranking events of the same discipline. For example, a rider is able to compete in Men’s/Women’s Park but Junior Street, given that they have never participated in Men’s/Women’s Street.

AGE LIMITS – PACIFIC CUP

The Pacific Cup event is a community focused event held in conjunction with the Oceania Championships for Scootering, catering for riders Under 13 years of age (mixed gender). This age group is not a national team representative event.

Under 13 (mixed gender)

Under 10 (mixed gender)

JUDGING CRITERIA

The judging panel will use the below criteria to formulate a single score based on the overall impression of a rider's performance within the parameters of the competition.

Difficulty

● Trick Performed

● Obstacle Selection

● Execution

● Quality of Execution

Style

● Fluidity / Power / Aggression

● Speed

● Height / Distance

● Quality of Landing

Use of Course

● Variety of Tricks

● A higher number of tricks will not necessarily result in a higher score as the value of difficulty and execution are important in formulating an overall impression score.

● Variety of Obstacles

● Flow

Consistency

● While consistency and runs without any bails are a key factor in any high-scoring performance, consistency alone will not be enough to win a competition, as the value of difficulty, execution, and use of course are important in formulating an overall impression score.

ATHLETE SAFETY

We remind all participating athletes that physical safety during practice and competition times is paramount. It is recommended that athletes of all ages and disciplines regularly review their protective equipment.

Helmets are compulsory at all times during practice sessions and competitions in Park for all athletes.

Helmets are compulsory at all times during practice sessions and competitions in Street for athletes under the age of 18, however we strongly encourage all athletes to wear a helmet even if not mandatory.
