Get ready to have a smashing good time at our Annual Pride 3-on-3 Badminton Friendly!

This exciting social competition will see players from all levels compete for one glorious reward:

Whether you're here to unleash your inner champ or just have a giggle and a good hit, we've got a spot for you. Multiple divisions mean everyone—from seasoned competitors to social hitters—can join in at their level.

🎯 GRADING & DIVISIONS

🚨 Only 12 player spots available per category! Get in quick!

Division A: Equivalent to grade C in a badminton tournament
Division B: Equivalent to grade D in a tournament
Division C: Recreational players with limited comp experience; know the basics; here for fun and skill-building

📝 Note: Players may be moved between divisions to balance teams or match skill levels. Each division will be capped at 12 players.

🧠 HOW IT WORKS

Each division has 4 teams.
Each team plays the others once in this 3-on-3 format:

• 1 & 2 vs 1 & 2
• 2 & 3 vs 2 & 3
• 1 & 3 vs 1 & 3

Each player will play six (6) x 21-point games across the night.

• First to 21 points per game
• 20 minutes max per match (includes warm-up and turnover)
• Event runs for approx. 2 hours

Match schedules will be emailed 1–2 days prior to the event.

🤝 HOW TEAMS ARE FORMED

Nobody gets thrown to the wolves! When you register, you can:

• Sign up solo – we'll place you with a team (a great way to meet new hitters)
• Nominate a partner – lock in one person you'd like to play with, and we'll fill the third spot
• Register as a full trio – bring your own team of 3 and you're set

⚠️ Heads up: everyone must register individually — even if you've already sorted your team. If you're playing as a pair or a full trio, each person still needs to submit their own sign-up (just nominate your partner/teammates so we can match you up). No one's spot is locked in until they've registered themselves.

Any remaining spots are drawn raffle-style to complete the teams.

⚖️ BALANCING THE GRADES

To keep games fun and fair, the committee may need to move some players up or down a grade — especially if numbers are uneven. We'll always make fair calls, and we ask that all players respect the committee's decisions. It's all in the spirit of good, competitive fun!
