We are holding the following workshop Exits & Entries Through an Adaptive Lens*

COME AND LEARN, the Alternative perspective on teaching Entries & Exits through the lens of drowning prevention and adaptive principles.

This practical pool session with Coach Developer, Mr Danny Ong, evaluates water entry and exit training through the lens of drowning prevention and adaptive principles. It questions whether learners are truly mastering risk reduction or simply memorising assessment criteria.

Core Focus Areas

• Risk Factors: Water entry risks depend heavily on individual capabilities, specific tasks, and the surrounding environment.
• The Surfacing Challenge: Unintentional falls often lead to drowning because entry directly disrupts breath holding, buoyancy, and the ability to level off.
• Exit Complications: Reaching the edge is not enough; many victims drown because they lack the simulated skills needed to physically exit open water.
• Session Goal: Evaluate alternative, context-driven entry and exit techniques to better prepare learners for real-world survival.
