Indoor Softball Term 3 - Wrap Up

Published Fri 03 Oct 2025

Another season of indoor softball has wrapped up and, as always, your Seacombe Tigers pounced when it mattered — finishing on top and bringing home the win! πŸ’ͺ

This season had a fresh feel, with a great mix of old rivals and new talent joining the fray. The Saints (red) brought in some big-hitting power — including a father-son duo — while the Greens showed just how much they’d levelled up since last season, coming out swinging with a few new faces too.

On the Tigers side, pitching duties were shared by Nathan, Taylor and Lucy — each with their own style, but Lucy’s accuracy definitely stole the show. Blake proved a weapon with the bat and at third base, snapping up catches off the net, while Bronte showed off her speed with the most steals to home. πŸ’¨

Games were tighter this season too, proving that everyone’s sharpening their skills and thinking more strategically about those crucial outs. And with talk of splitting Tigers players across different teams next season to create four squads, things are set to get even more competitive. πŸ‘€πŸ”₯

Final Game Recap – Tigers (Black) vs Saints (Red)
The season finale was one for the highlight reel. With two players returning from a weekend of softball in Werribee, the Tigers called in reinforcements — a massive thank you to Jay for swapping her green top for black and stepping into first base, where she was bombarded with rushed throws, high hits, and some truly spectacular (and hilarious) catches.
πŸ˜…

The Saints came out swinging in the first innings, piling on 12 runs and holding the Tigers to 11 — the first time all season the Tigers had trailed after the opener. But this team doesn’t back down. Lucy took over pitching duties, holding the Saints to just 10 runs in the second innings. That meant the Tigers needed 11 to win… and they delivered. πŸ™Œ

Some standout moments from the decider:
🧀 Jay – first base masterclass with juggling catches and long stretches for outs. πŸ₯Ž Bronte – catching and baserunning superstar, even after a big weekend of softball. πŸ’₯ Blake – dangerous with the bat, pulling off bold double steals and clutch catches. πŸ™Œ Nathan – specky high grabs and (finally) didn’t hit the ball back at the pitcher! 🎯 Lucy – racked up strikeouts and nailed throw-outs at home.
