Learn to Skate at Silver City Roller Skating Club

We have Saturday afternoon Learn to Skate lessons:

• 2:30pm till 4pm during school terms (warmup starts at approx 2:45pm).
• Lessons will be back for term one starting 14th February.
• Working with beginners to more competent skaters, using the SkateNSW Skate Stars program.
• All participants must be members of SkateNSW for insurance purposes. 

[please note all coaches are volunteers and are only able to assist with skills up to and including their own abilities]

LTS Lesson Structure 

• 15 minute Warm-up [reviewing basic skills: lifting skates, stepping, walking forward/backwards/sideways, falling safely & getting up]
• 30 minute Skills: [learning or practicing skills - 3 per class]
• 5-10 minute Game: [game varies depending on participant skill level and mix of ages]
• Free Skate: practice all your skate moves [skates off and to the bench by 4pm]

Lesson format may vary depending on the skill level of participants & coach available on the day.
