Paul McCartney new President of the SB20 Association of Australia

Published Thu 01 May 2025

At our 2025 AGM, Paul McCartney was elected as the new President of the SB20 Association of Australia. Paul has previously served as Vice President. At the AGM, Paul expressed his thanks to outgoing President, Scott Glanville, who stepped down from the role, for his hard work in building the Class over the last five years here in Australia. Scott continues in his role as President of the SB20 Class World Council and remains a member of the SB20 Association as outgoing President. Paul is no stranger to the SB20 Class. Paul helmed Porco Rosso to second in the 2025 World Championship in Singapore and only a month later was crowned the 2025 SB20 Australian Champion, sailing both events with his experienced crew of Will Sargent and Eddie Reid. Paul will bring his trademark enthusiasm, leadership and fresh ideas to the Association.  Other members of the SB20 Australian Association Committee are Steve Catchpool (incoming Vice President), Jill Abel (Treasurer), Felicity Allison (Secretary), Matt Bugg, Andrew Roberts, Jane Austin, Kevin Lloyd and Will Sargent. If you have ideas for the Class here in Australia, please email secretary@sb20.com.au.
