***SCR MEMBERS ONLY EVENT***

The Sappire Coast Runners are concluding the 2026 Trail Series with our final event in the series at the Nethercote Falls and Pambula Goldfields on the 26th of July.

We're spoilt for choice when it comes to great trails here on the Far South Coast. And to cap off the SCR Trails Series, we've saved the best course till last (or at least the toughest). If you're up for a challenge, then come along and join us by walking, jogging and / or running your way over some of the many incredible trails in this wonderful and historical part of our local area.

As mentioned previously, the series is conducted over four trail events, with our final event commencing at 8am sharp from the Nethercote Falls Picnic Area (see Map).

For event 4, participants will choose to complete either the 6km, 12km or 21km course (approx). All courses are loops, following mostly fire trails with possible creek crossings. All courses will be well signposted with our distinct SCR signage.

The 21km Half Marathon course participants are required to carry, but are not limited to, the following mandatory gear - Mobile phone (fully charged), whistle, Thermal blanket or bag, 1 L water (min) and 1 food portion (min). There are no mandatory gear requirements for the the 6km and 12km courses. However, all participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle, a mobile phone, compression bandage, personal medications, snack or anything else you feel you might need for your distance.

The event will have a timekeeper and the results will be recorded. Saying this however, a strong emphasis will be on participation. So, whether you want to walk or run over the shorter or the longer distance, the aim will be to get as many participants as possible to join in the experience of running or walking on some of our awesome local trails.

The aim is to get everyone at the start by 7.45am for check-in, bib collection and the safety brief.

Parking is available at the Nethercote Falls picnic area, Pipeclay Rd, off Back Creek Rd, Nethercote (Nethercote Falls is approx. 13km from Pambula). Look for the signs. *Note - There is about 1.5km of dirt road on Pipeclay Rd to the picnic area which is suitable for 2wd cars, but if your car is very low you may wish to carpool in another car.

There is a toilet and picnic tables at this venue.

There are NO water points or aid stations on the course.

There will be water, fruit and light snacks at the start / finish area. 

If you want to visit the falls after the event for a look or a refreshing dip, there is a good (albeit steep) 800m trail to the river and the falls.

This is the final event in the Quad Crown Competition - Members who compete or volunteer in all four of the trail events held throughout the series will be eligible for a prize which will be awarded at the presentation ceramony 🤩👏🎉🎁
