The SCR are continuing the 2024 Trail Series with our second event in the series in Tathra on the 26^th of May 2024.

This is another great opportunity for any novice to seasoned runner / walker a chance to experience, in a group environment, some of the many amazing bush trails our local area has to offer.

For event 2, participants will choose to complete either the 3km, 6km or the 11km course.

The event will have a timekeeper and the results will be recorded. Saying this however, a strong emphasis will be on participation. So, whether you want to walk or run over the shorter or the longer distance, the aim will be to get as many participants as possible to join in the experience of running or walking on some of our awesome local trails.

The courses start at the intersection of Tathra Rd and White Rock Rd. The short and medium courses are out and back courses, following well graded fire trails to the relavant turn around points. The long course is a loop following Games Bay Firetrail, Kangarutha Track and White Rock Rd. The 1.3 km section of the Kangarutha Track has some stairs, rocks and possible creek crossing.

There are no mandatory gear requirements for the event, However, you might like to bring a water bottle, a mobile phone, compression bandage, snack or anything else you feel you might need for your distance.

The aim will be to get everyone at the start by 7.45am for check-in and safety brief before the 8am start.

There is limited parking beside Tathra Rd opposite the entrance to White Rock Rd. Car pooling is recommended. There is additional parking space near the Tathra Fireshed approx. 1km away or at Evans Park, Kalaru.

There are no toilet facilities at this venue, which you may want to factor in before arriving at 7.45am on the day. Evans Park has the closest Public Toilets.
