Hi [[FIRST_NAME]],

Welcome to 2026 at SBSC.  Many of our sailors headed off to National Championships over the holiday break, whereas others enjoyed some well earned time off.

We are super proud of all our sailors, no matter whether it is their first green fleet session or they are national champion in their chosen class. However, we congratulate all our sailors on their efforts over the break at the various national championships – International Cadets, 29ers, 49FX, Optimists and ILCA’s.  A special mention does need to go to Olive Hooper and Haran Thani who are 2025/2026 International Cadet Australian Champions. If you missed our previous newsletter wrapping up all the national championships, you can read all about it HERE,

We are now ready to start the second half of the season and can't wait to see you at the club. In this month's newsletter we will outline all the exciting things coming up.

29er NATIONALS THANK YOU

29er NATIONALS THANK YOU

The 29er Nationals were successfully hosted at SBSC this year, and we’d like to congratulate not only the sailors who competed, but the incredible team of volunteers who made the event such a success.  A huge thank you to our Regatta Managers, Kellie and Jason Wilkie, whose leadership and organisation kept everything running smoothly. Special mention also goes to Jen Potter, our canteen extraordinaire and volunteer coordinator (and doer of many, many other jobs), Amy Potter for capturing the event through her brilliant photography, and Race Officer Emma Hooper, who stepped in at the last minute when our original race officer became unwell.

We were thrilled to receive glowing feedback from both parents and competitors, with many commenting on how well run the event was — some even suggesting we should be hosting the World Championships!

Well done and thank you to everyone involved. Events like this truly showcase the strength, professionalism and community spirit of SBSC.
