Course information

Registration for this course closes at Sun 01 Nov 2026 09:00.

Australian Sailing's Youth Pathways Team (ASYPT) and Sandy Bay Sailing Club are proud to run the first Tasmanian Youth Pathways 29er Camp of 2026.

This three-day, after-school camp is for all 29ers across Tasmania and runs on Monday 2 Nov, Tuesday 3 Nov and Thursday 5 Nov from 4:30pm to 7pm. It's a chance for 29er sailors to learn from one of the best coaches in Australia and find out more about the Youth Pathways programme. The goal of camps like this is to raise the performance level of our sailors and coaches, further increasing the competitiveness of the Tasmanian 29er fleet.

Coach for the three days is Brady Lowe. Brady has worked within Australian Sailing’s High Performance team as a Performance Pathways Coach over the past 5 years (notably in 49ers), as well as across club and class coaching environments. His coaching experience spans multiple classes and includes supporting both sailors and coaches across different stages of development. As part of the Youth Pathways Team, Brady is focused on strengthening alignment, collaboration and development across the youth pathway system, supporting the delivery of the Youth Development Plan and strengthening connections between clubs, classes and national pathway opportunities.

We are able to offer a greatly discounted fee thanks to the support of the ASYPT.

  • Already participating in SBSC 29er mid-week training: $20/sailor for all three days
  • Not participating in SBSC 29er mid-week training: $50/sailor for all three days

Australian Sailing's Youth Pathways Team was formed in August 2026 and is now working with sailors, coaches, clubs and youth pathway classes to support the continued development of youth sailing in Australia. It's an honour for SBSC to be working with ASYPT. We hope to offer more such programmes and development opportunities for 29er sailors and coaches in the future.
