SBSC has a long tradition of 29er training and racing, including past national champions!  

To assist our opti and cadet sailors to transition into the 29er for their next phase of sailing, we are introducing our Development Squad.

This training will be well supported with additional instructors to assist in your 29er journey.  There usually won't be designated pairs in the development squad, with the aim being to build skills and help sailors find suitable crews/helms to begin racing and ultimately join intermediate/open training:

The focus is on learning to trapeze safely and efficiently, launch, trim and retrieve an asymmetric spinnaker, and team work including crew sheeting of main and kite.  A key focus will also be the safe launching and recovery of the vessels. 

Cost: $490 per person (members), $630 per person (non-members)

The sessions are discounted for those brining their own boat.  Charter boats are available for the sessions from our amazing club members!
