Run by qualified Australian Sailing Instructors, this beginner-level course follows theAustralian Sailing Start Sailing 1 programme:
Learn how to rig and launch a boat
Practice tacking, steering, and stopping safely
Gain confidence on the water
Be supported every step of the way by experienced instructors
Earn your Start Sailing 1 completion certificate at the end!
No prior experience necessary! All courses will be run in Pacer dinghys so you will be sailing with at least one other person at all times.

Course Overview
This course introduces participants to dinghy sailing and its fundamental skills so they learn terminology and equipment and practice launching and returning to shore and capsize recovery.

Water confident.
Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.
Course Outcome
You will gain your Start Sailing 1 completion certificate.
