At the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, Open Discover Sailing courses are conducted on our exciting fleet of Elliott 7m Keelboats. All training courses are conducted by accredited Australian Sailing Instructors using the Australian Sailing 'Keelboat Program'. Our keelboats allow you to learn to sail without the fear of capsizing and onboard with several other people learning alongside you. Learning to sail in a self-righting keelboat provides a learning platform that is stable yet responsive.

 

COURSE DATES:  31 January, 7 February, 21 February, 28 February and Member's Yacht Experience on the 7th March. No session scheduled for the 14th February.

COURSE PRICE: RSYS Members $540 / Non-RSYS Members $676

This is a comprehensive 4 week program with an additional week for a Member's Yacht Experience morning. We are unable to offer make-up days for any that you miss within your registered program.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a keelboat. Learn the basics, whilst staying relatively dry! All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Crewing completion certificate.
