Set against the spectacular backdrop of Sydney Harbour, the Keelboat Holiday Camps offer an exceptional on-water experience for youth sailors aged 12–16, catering to enthusiastic beginners through to developing sailors seeking to strengthen their skills and competency as crew onboard our fleet of Elliot 7 Keelboats.

With an instructor onboard, sailors receive direct coaching in boat handling, sail trim, helming, navigation fundamentals, and essential seamanship. Emphasis is placed on practical, hands-on learning, ensuring every participant is actively involved as a contributing crew member.

Each day blends purposeful training with the excitement of exploring Sydney Harbour’s iconic waterways, creating a dynamic and social atmosphere that keeps sailors motivated and engaged.

SESSION TIMES : 4 consecutive days from 8.30am-3.30pm

NON RSYS MEMBERS : Youth without an RSYS Parent or Grandparent Member $624.00

RSYS MEMBERS : Youth with an RSYS Parent or Grandparent Member $499.00

Overview

OutThere Sailing 1 is a great introduction to the sport of sailing and the skills required but will still focus on fun with friends. The program provides a wide variety of on water activities that will introduce you to keelboat (5-6 person boat) sailing and, depending on your club, an opportunity to experience dinghy (1-2 person boat) sailing stand up paddle boarding, windsurfing and power boating. You will learn skills through exciting exercises and put them to good use in fun, on-water activities.

Prerequisites

Water confident.

Who should do this program?

This program is designed for participants who are 11-17 years-old looking to try a new activity, have some fun and engage with others whilst sailing.
