8–11 December & 17-19 December • Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron For Intermediate & Open Fleet Sailors
The RSYS Sailing Academy invites Intermediate and Open Fleet Optimist sailors to join our four-day, three-day, or single day Optimist Performance Training Clinic, running 8–11 December & 17-19 December at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron.
This clinic is designed for developing and advanced sailors who are preparing for summer regattas, aiming to refine their racing skills, and looking to gain high-quality coaching in a focused training environment. Sailors will work with RSYS’s experienced coaching team on:
Advanced boat handling and boat speed
Race strategy, starting drills, and tactical decision-making
Performance techniques in a variety of conditions
Regatta preparation, mindset, and on-water routines
Training sessions will take place on Sydney Harbour, offering sailors consistent racing practice and the opportunity to train alongside peers at a similar competitive level.
This clinic is ideal for sailors moving confidently through Intermediate Fleet or already competing in Open Fleet, and is perfectly timed as preparation for major summer events.
We look forward to welcoming Optimist sailors for four days of skill development, challenges, and fun on the water.
