Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron is offering a 4-day Junior Sailing Camp for 8-12 year olds.
This program offers kids aged 8–12 the chance to build lifelong skills and confidence on the water. With experienced, qualified instructors and a fleet of safe, easy-to-handle dinghies, young sailors will discover the excitement of sailing through fun, hands-on lessons. Each session blends practical sailing with games, teamwork, and water safety, all in a supportive and active outdoor environment with all equipment including personal floation devices provided.
Whether your child is brand new to sailing or looking to develop their skills, our camps provides the perfect balance of structured learning and holiday fun. From hoisting their first sail to mastering the basics of wind and balance, kids will walk away with new friendships, confidence, and a strong foundation in this rewarding lifelong sport. Join us on the water and give your child a unique and empowering experience they’ll never forget!
CAMP FEES : 4 consecutive days from 8.30am-3.30pm
NON RSYS MEMBERS : Youth without an RSYS Parent or Grandparent Member $600.00
RSYS MEMBERS : Youth with an RSYS Parent or Grandparent Member $480.00

Course Overview
This course introduces participants to dinghy sailing and its fundamental skills so they learn terminology and equipment and practice launching and returning to shore and capsize recovery.
Course Prerequisites
Water confident.
Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.
Course Outcome
You will gain your Start Sailing 1 completion certificate.

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
