The SOP Intermediate/Open Squad is targeted at sailors who have demonstrated a high level of skill in the Optimist and are participating in class regattas. Sailors are expected to have a deeper understanding of racing principles and strong boat handling skills.

For sailors wishing to achieve advanced level skills and improve their regatta outcomes we recommend committing to the 2 Day SOP Intermediate & Open Squad Program.

Sailors need to be financial Youth Members or hold a current RSYS Sail Pass to be a part of the program. 

If you are a parent registering for your child, you MUST register with your child's details not your own. 

Don't forget to also register for the Dinghy Racing Series through Sailsys. The link to register for this can be found on the Dinghy Squads webpage. Supported events and regattas are posted on the Notice of Program on the Dinghy Squads page.
