As a participant you can expect to experience

1. Sailing on a keelboat
2. Learn new skills or improve your skills
3. Get to know your way around a boat and try out all positions
4. Meet new people
5. Enjoy a great outdoor activity
6. Relaxed, friendly, and fun, environment (no experience necessary)
7. Gain an understanding of the pathways to participate in Yacht racing and Crew membership at RSAYS
8. Option to further develop your skills with path to other crewing/sailing opportunities (subject to availability)

 

The cost is expected to be $100 (TBA) for a 5-hour program which includes an overview of sailing, hands-on on water activities sailing on a keel boat, day Sail pass and a light lunch and drink at the Club house.

We will be in touch with you about 3 weeks prior to the event to confirm your booking and provide an overview of the arrangements for the day. Our racing season commences during the 1^st week of October 2026, if you would like to join in on Wednesday evening before you do “Come and Try” we are also happy to arrange this.
