Learn to sail each Friday evening this Summer
Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron, Outer Harbor
Women on Water is a great opportunity to encourage and help women learn the basic fundamentals of sailing in a safe and constructive environment. Over two and half hours each week, your skills will be developed with on and off water training. After each session, you will be welcome to join the excitement on the Quarterdeck for a drink and a meal. What a great way to end the week?
The sailing will be held in the calm waters of the Port River in the Club’s J24 keelboats, a popular and very stable keelboat. Our volunteer mentors who are experienced sailors, have the great knowledge and skill in sailing.
The course does not provide you with an official qualification but will familiarise you with all you need to know to feel confident to crew on a boat. After the beginners’ courses, your sailing proficiency will provide you with enough skills to do the intermediate course after Christmas.
