Pro Racing Day Wrap

A long break since our last Pro race day, the gamble with the weather paid off with a tight as track created by Craig "OrangeFly" inspired by the childhood game mousetrap, it made a mess of many pilots today, from ring gates to drop gates the small layout separated the groups early.

Someone at Rox fed the gremlins after midnight with base stations putting out magic smoke, timing software refusing to play and live broadcast frames dropping all giving Race Director Evan "shufty" nothing short of a meltdown. Matthew "matt" had them on his VTX.Thanks for assisting "shufty" Richard"acquado".

Frosty SNR did a sterling job at the flame along with "myles" in the canteen keeping an eye on da cash! We said our goodbyes to the red trolley replaced by Michael "sickocrow" with a heavy-duty mutha trolley making setup all the way smoother. We had a flurry of spectators and the seats were full with visitors viewing through googles. Thanks to Jared "JDNoodle" who filled them with build tips and advice. Our new club supporter #mutirotorinsanity came along with more stock of R-Class motors which were snapped up quickly. The final half of the rounds saw very close competition all which can be seen on ROX TV (https://bit.ly/2xZbSJU) on youtube. The small track found some quads keen for bumping action despite the brooding weather above.

In summary another successful day, with gremlins highly active today the ROX comradery to support each other through technical headaches was a stand out.

Congratulations to the Top 4 of the day

1st Michael "sickocrow"

2nd Evan "shufty"

3rd Robin "frosty"

4th Paul "pav"
