To complete your application for membership please ensure that you read, understand, acknowledge and accept the Standardised Terms and Conditions of your membership.

If the applicant is under 18 years of age this section, and the Standardised Terms and Conditions must be read, understand, acknowledge and accepted by the applicant's parent or legal guardian.


Rowing Queensland

I agree to abide by the rules, regulations and policies of Rowing Queensland Ltd, Rowing Australia Ltd, and the relevant club, including the Anti-Doping, Member Protection, Anti Match Fixing, and Privacy Policies. (All of the above mentioned regulations, policies and rules are available on or through the Rowing Queensland Website) 

I agree to have my name, photograph and results published in official programs, newsletters and websites. 

I acknowledge and understand that in submitting this registration form I become liable for the relevant fees and understand these fees are non-refundable. 

I have read, understood, acknowledge and agree to the declarations above and the details provided in the application and I personally consent to the declarations above and I warrant that all information provided is true and correct.

If the applicant is under 18 years of age this section of the form must be endorsed by the applicant's parent or legal guardian.

COMMERCIAL ROWING CLUB (CRC)

 

Code of Member Behaviour

 

ALL CRC members are required to:

  • Be aware of and adhere to club rules, policies and procedures associated with member activities;
  • Follow any lawful directions given by a person empowered to give that direction – Club Captain, Boat Captain, Coach, Safety Officer or Committee Member;
  • Refrain from behaving in a manner that could adversely affect the reputation of CRC and Rowing Queensland (RQ);
  • Treat all members fairly and with respect and dignity, having proper regard for their rights and obligations including their right to feel welcome at CRC;
  • Ensure that at no time could their behaviour be construed as:
    • Slanderous – malicious, false and damaging utterance about a person;
    • Malicious – desire to cause harm or cause difficulty to others;
    • Defaming – attacking the good reputation of a person;
  • Promptly address any issue they have with another member’s behaviour directly or with the assistance of a coach/committee member, then escalating it quickly to the Club Captain and further to the Committee if not resolved;
  • Establish at a minimum a working/rowing relationship with any member with whom they have had a dispute;
  • Abstain from consuming illegal drugs, excessive alcohol;
  • Assist with keeping the clubhouse tidy by removing their rubbish and belongings when not in use at the club;
  • Report any risks or issues they observe with the Club’s operations as soon as possible to the Club Captain, Boat Captain, Coach, Safety Officer or Committee Member.

CRC Coaches are required to complete the Coaches Form and Code of Conduct – please request if required.

A failure to comply with any requirement of this Code of Member Behaviour will subject the member to the following disciplinary actions:

  • Reprimand
  • Suspension of membership
  • Termination of membership

I have read and understood all requirements in this CRC Code of Member Behaviour and agree to abide by it.

I understand that the Commercial Rowing Club endeavours to take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of Club members. However, I acknowledge that rowing training and competition are undertaken at my own risk. My signature below is a complete acknowledgement of this condition and the Commercial Rowing Club cannot be held liable in any way for my health and well being. Further, in submitting this application, I accept all club policies and procedures in the CRC Policy Manual, and agree to abide by all rules and by laws of Commercial Rowing Club and Rowing Queensland Incorporated.
