Ross River welcomes casual athletes

To find out more about attending a club night as a casual athlete, please read the below:

 

  How much does it cost?

Casual visitor passes cost $10 per club night, per athlete and is payable on the night.

 

  Are there age restirctions for casual passes?

The only restriction for casual athletes is that they will need to be turning 4 years old in 2024. This means that the athletes will need to be born in 2020 and turn 4 by 31 December.

 

  Do I need to pre-register?

No need to pre-register. Simply turn up on the night and follow the steps outlined below.

 

  How many events can I participate in?

Your athlete will be eligible to participate in all events on offer for their age group for the night.

 

  What should I wear?

At our club nights, please ensure you wear:

  • Comfortable clothes for competing in
  • Closed in shoes are essential 
  • Bring a waterbottle to stay hydrated
  • Warm clothing that can be easily removed during the colder winter months

If you do not wear closed in shoes, unfortunately you will not be eligible to participate in our club night activities.

 

  What happens on the night?

Our club nights start at 5:45pm for a 6pm start sharp. We request that you arrive at least 30 - 45 minutes prior to register and familiarise yourself with the grounds. Please also ensure you keep your athlete off any equipment and avoid walking through the gates at the finish line.

  • Once you arrive, head to our canteen to register your athlete. Here you will be asked to supply some information about the athlete for insurance purposes and pay the registration fee
  • Once complete, you will receive a wrist band. Pop this on and head on over to the age buckets
  • Your child will be required to sit behind the bucket of the age they are turning this year. i.e. if your child is born in 2017, and turning 7 this year, they will be required to sit behind the bucket that says 7
  • Supply the name of the child to the age marshall for recording purposes
  • Remain with your child through the duration of night and help out when requested

 

  My child broke a record on the night, will this be recorded?

Only registered members in full club uniform will be eligible to break and obtain club records.

 

  My kid had a great night and we want to sign up, how do I do that?

We are excited that your athlete had a great time and is keen to continue on with our awesome club.

Simply head on over to our registration page, provide your athletes information, pay the rego fee and get your confirmation email. Once signed up, your child will be registred with RRAC!

Mum and Dad, don't you guys forget to sign up too for our insurance purposes! There is no fee for accompanying parents and/or guardians to register

 

  What events are casuals not eligible to attend?

Casuals are not invited to attend our Family Fun Nights, any club training or our Club Break-up and Presentation Night. These events are only available to registered members. Other events may not be 'casual friendly' so we encourage you to check our Facebook page for up to date information or reach out if you require confirmation.
