The University of Sydney Chess Club presents the Australian Chess Championships 2026 at the University of Sydney Business School in the Belinda Hutchinson Building from the 5th to 15th of January. 

 

The event awards the title Australian Chess Champion, as well as Australian Blitz Chess Champion. The Australian Reserves, USYD Major, USYD Minor, and USYD Rapid will run alongside the event. Players should check their ACF December Ratings on the ACF website to determine in which division/s they are eligible to play.

 

There is over $18,000 in prize money across all divisions.
